Science – Week of May 8th

Monday:  STAAR and 5th/1st periods:  We will begin the EOY (End-of Year) Review.  This is the final for Science which will be given next week.

Tuesday:  STAAR and 6th/2nd periods:  We will begin the EOY (End-of Year) Review.  This is the final for Science which will be given next week.

Wednesday:  Cluster rotations in the morning, see the Team Time rosters.  Students will continue working on their EOY Review for Science.  In the afternoon, 7th/3rd periods meet.

Thursday:  Students will complete a Reading Response passage at 8:15am.  7th grade will then see, “Screenagers” from 9:00-10:30.  All 7th graders will take the IPC Placement test from 10:30am-12:30pm.  Qualifications for Integrated Physics and Chemistry in 8th grade is based on the placement test, classroom grades, teacher recommendation, and enrollment in Algebra OR Geometry in 8th grade.  In the afternoon, 8th/4th periods meet.

Friday:  Charger Day!  We will take our last IAN Review Quiz and begin our performance task to be completed next week.

Students will be bringing home an IAN Review form similar to the one you completed in December.  PLEASE do NOT let your student throw their IAN away in 3 weeks!  There is A LOT of valuable information that can serve them well in 9th grade.  IAN Reviews are due next Monday/Tuesday.
